Drug information and education services.
The pharmacist will provide explanations on what each medication is for and how they work, so patients and caregivers understand their importance. For physicians and other healthcare providers, the clinical pharmacist can assist with questions which may arise in your practice.

Medication Profile Reviews
A clinical pharmacist will conduct a thorough review of the list of medications you provide. The things the pharmacist will be looking at include drug interactions, duplications of drugs from the same family, doses, routes of administration, and the formulation you are using. This review will also include evaluating medication habits to see where we may be able to optimize the benefit you receive. Any questions you may have will also be answered.

Anticoagulant dosing and monitoring services.
Our clinical pharmacist is trained in the dosing of all anticoagulants (blood thinners) including, but not limited to, warfarin (Coumadin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), fondaparinux (Arixtra), and heparin. Along with providing a safe and effective dose, the pharmacist is able to help physicians monitor their patients throughout their course of therapy. This is done by talking to the patients about any side effects they may have and monitoring blood work. We perform finger stick blood sampling to determine the INR for warfarin patients and recommend dose adjustments accordingly.
